Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the marketing and advertising industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring new clients (especially on retainer), and building strong, long-term client relationships to drive agency growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business leads through networking, referrals, online platforms, and industry events
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients across sectors

  • Pitch our services to prospective clients and convert leads into long-term business relationships

  • Drive client acquisition for retainer-based marketing services (branding, digital marketing, advertising, etc.)

  • Prepare and present tailored proposals and decks for client requirements

  • Negotiate and close business deals in line with company targets

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals

  • Collaborate closely with the creative, digital, and strategy teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and client needs

  • Maintain CRM or sales tracking tools to report weekly/monthly progress

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in business development in a marketing/advertising agency or similar industry

  • Proven success in acquiring new clients and growing business, preferably on retainers

  • Strong network and understanding of the Indian marketing landscape

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver under pressure

  • Passion for marketing, branding, and client relationship management
